Journey of Faith - Worship Center
Project Overview
This comprehensive worship center renovation addressed both structural safety and worship experience enhancement. Seismic upgrades included a new roof diaphragm, upper sill straps, roof purlin and joist connectors, and tube steel support posts to meet modern earthquake safety standards. The front entrance was replaced with an impressive structural steel and CMU/brick construction, while a new structural steel catwalk was installed over the stage for lighting and production support. Interior improvements transformed the worship experience: replacement of sanctuary pews for 700-person seating, conversion of balcony pews to comfortable theater seats, acoustical panel additions throughout, new carpeting, construction of an audio control booth, and upgraded lighting systems. The entire project was completed within a four-month timeline and budget parameters.
